Introduction

My main area of interest are the British stamps of Queen Victoria, especially those with protective overprints and underprints.

Other related areas of interest are the Pears' Soap underprints and Perfins of firms who progressed to this form of security protection from the earlier use of overprints and underprints.  I plan to add a Perfin section to the site as soon as time permits*.

Note.  Due to space limitations (20 MB with Demon) I am unable to show images of each stamp I possess.  In most cases I have had to limit myself to a single image for each PP catalogue number rather than showing an example from each plate (instead I have shown the plate number in bold to indicate I have an particular example).  In a few cases, such as covers and multiples, I have shown as many examples as possible.

* I have been told by my partner that this will be after the garden is landscaped and the whole house redecorated - so don't hold your breath!
