I would like to show you an example of this overprint on a stamp but, as yet, I have been unable to locate one. The origin of this overprint is currently unknown. As this is only listed as
appearing on a single stamp (1d. red Plate 117) it may be that it is in fact an overprint used for receipt purposes rather
than a true protective overprint. 1868. Unofficial overprint type 35 in black. PP114 1d lake-red (SG 43 or G1)
